Our Fee Schedule
Should you need to make a claim, CS Healthcare can contribute towards the cost of your specialist treatment.
Each surgical and medical procedure has a CCSD code and description, which are used as a common term of reference within the private medical industry. You can find out how much CS Healthcare can contribute towards the cost of specialist treatment by using our medical fee search facility, which has details of CCSD codes, surgeon fees and anaesthetist fees for each procedure.
Select either the procedure name or procedure code to begin your search.
Multiple procedure policy:
For a single procedure, we will pay the 100% customary and reasonable surgeon and anaesthetist fees according to the required CCSD code and its recognised complexity. If multiple procedures are carried out during one theatre admission, we will agree with you how much we are able to pay from the outset, this will normally be:
- Up to 100% of the listed fee price for a primary procedure
- Up to 50% of the second procedure in addition to the primary procedure
- Up to 25% of the third procedure in addition to the primary and second procedure
In the case that a procedure is performed bilaterally that cannot be billed under one CCSD code, benefit will be calculated in accordance with the multiple procedures rule.
Please be aware that all payments are subject to any co-payment or excess selected by the policy holder, and policy benefit limits may apply. For example, if you are a your choice policyholder and choose the Heart & Cancer Limited cover option, you will not be covered for any medical procedures or treatments that exceed the lifetime policy limit of £50,000 per person per condition. The prices indicated in our fee schedule are independent of any other insurer, and are subject to regular reviews based on data detailing payment trends, complexity and independent medical review where disputes or new procedures require implementation. It is important to note that the schedule is updated on a monthly basis therefore changes may be made from time to time when this is the case.
